Maryann Lauletta, MD, FACHE has joined Dina as Chief Medical Officer to further advance the company’s mission of delivering more care in the home and community.

This is a new role for Dina, a care-at-home platform and network that supports the healthcare industry’s transition to virtual and in-home care. Lauletta will work out of the company’s Philadelphia hub.

Lauletta most recently served as Medical Director for Inspira Health’s Medicare PACE/LIFE program, a full risk-bearing model providing all-inclusive care for the elderly, and as ACO Physician Champion for the Inspira Network. In her PACE/LIFE role, she  guided a 150-person care team that was responsible for delivering high-quality, low-cost coordinated care, often in the home, to approximately 300 seniors in the New Jersey area.

Dr. Lauletta has a great track record of using remote patient monitoring and telehealth technologies to prepare health systems for the future model of home-based care.

“This was an eye-opening experience to see first-hand the challenges of delivering in-home care, especially in rural communities that face obstacles accessing primary and specialty care, as well as community resources,” said Lauletta. “It takes innovation to keep patients at the center of care, and I believe Dina delivers on this challenge and helps bridge communications gaps and gaps in care.”

Prior to Inspira Health, Lauletta was Vice President of Medical Operations at Jefferson Health’s three hospital campuses in New Jersey (formerly Kennedy Health System), where she was in charge of Case Management and Transitions of Care, Post-Acute Network Relations and Utilization Management, and oversaw the Hospital Readmission Reduction Program (HRRP) and Bundled Payment Care Initiative (BPCI).

“Dr. Lauletta has a great track record of collaborating with health plans, turning transitions of care into a friction-less experience, and using remote patient monitoring and telehealth technologies to prepare health systems for the future model of home-based care,” said Dina CEO Ashish V. Shah. We are truly honored to have her on our team.”

Lauletta is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has earned many other industry certifications, including a Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare. She was appointed to the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers Board of Trustees in 2018 and served on the New Jersey State Task Force on abuse of persons who are elderly or disabled. She earned her medical degree in 1998 at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel University School of Medicine.)

Lauletta’s appointment follows other major milestones from Dina: In May, the company announced Bob Maluso as its Chief Growth Officer. In January, it closed a $7 million Series A funding round led by Philadelphia-based Osage Venture Partners along with existing investors, strategic partners, and First Trust Capital Partners.
