BrightStar Care, a national provider of homecare and medical staffing services, will join Dina’s digital home care coordination network.

With 340 locations across the country, BrightStar Care will leverage Dina’s technology to enhance care coordination with its hospital and health plan partners. Dina’s digital community includes leading providers of home health care, non-medical home care, durable medical equipment, physician house call services, and providers addressing social determinants of health.

The first phase of the partnership will launch in Philadelphia.

Improving Visibility Into the Home

Working with Dina, BrightStar Care will offer care-at-home and other solutions to help its partners improve visibility in the home and deliver higher-acuity services. BrightStar Care now can coordinate home-based nurses, therapists, social workers, and suppliers of durable medical equipment to better care for patients and health plan members at home.

“We’re excited to work with Dina and our health system partners to extend care into the home,” said Dean Ulizio, BrightStar Care’s Chief Strategy Officer. “The Dina platform offers us new capabilities for care coordination and for delivering on BrightStar Care’s mission to provide patients with a higher standard of care.”

Dina also collects patient data from the home and uses artificial intelligence to recommend evidence-based, non-medical interventions that can lead to fewer ER visits, reduced unnecessary hospitalizations and improved Medicare STAR ratings.

The platform offers us new capabilities to provide patients with a higher standard of care.

“As care continues to move outside of the hospital, we’re excited to collaborate with BrightStar Care to build a patient-centric, data-driven experience, and help them provide more people with the very best care in their homes and communities,” said David Bean, Dina’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We know that caring for people in their homes typically results in better clinical outcomes, is less expensive, and is a better experience for patients.”
